This is a personal letter, not a legal instrument. It does not appoint a Trusted Person — that's done in your will (executor) or a Lasting Power of Attorney (attorney). What it does is orient the person you've already named: where the records are, who to call first, what you'd want them to know. Keep it sealed in an envelope marked for them, with your records. If you haven't formally named who that person is yet, Trusted Person setup is a short guided step that walks you through choosing them and what they'd be trusted to do.
