Family Handover Kit vs LifeBook vs My Estate Kit

All four answer the same family question — who to call, where things are, what falls due — in a form you can print and keep.

The overlap is the question itself — what each one gives you before you write a word, and what it does about the answers you don't have, is where they diverge.

Rival figures were checked against each company’s own live site and the Companies House register on 23 August 2026, and a dated copy of every source was archived that day. Our own figures are read directly from the systems that charge and fulfil, never re-typed for this page.

All three are templates you complete yourself. They differ in price, in length and in who stands behind them, and those differences are set out accurately here — sourced and dated — because a comparison you can check is worth more than one that flatters anybody, us included.

Age UK's LifeBook is free. A 36-page booklet across six colour-coded sections — personal details, life contacts, financial, documents, possessions, final wishes — published by a long-established registered charity. It can be downloaded, and a printed copy can be requested from Age UK directly, at ageuk.org.uk — checked 23 August 2026.

My Estate Kit sells three tiers, and a separate £29 product page. On My Estate Kit’s homepage, its Essential Kit at £29 lists a Start Here card, its 5-28-6 checklists, ten guided fill-in sheets and an account tracker; My Estate Kit’s separately addressed “Family Handover Kit” page, also £29, lists 13 numbered documents including 12 notification-letter templates.

My Estate Kit’s two larger tiers — its Settled Family Pack (£47) and its Complete Peace-of-Mind pack (£76), each advertised against a struck-through higher price — add a homeowner's pack, the 12 letters, an executor's-mistakes guide, a six-month action calendar and priority support. Neither is a Valoren product, and Valoren sells nothing at £47 or £76.

Its free public guide, headed “2026 edition”, still printed the probate application fee as £300 when read on 3 September 2026. The fee has been £526 since 13 July 2026 (GOV.UK).

That is the one figure we checked, on a free document anyone can open; we have not seen its paid kits and say nothing about them.

Valoren’s own free Handover Guide prints £526, and its last pages list every figure it carries with the body it was read from and the date it was last checked.

WillSafe UK's Household Handover Binder is £15 — a PDF and an editable Word document. WillSafe UK does not state a page count for it anywhere we could find.

Every one of these is a real, buyable product. Who stands behind it is worth knowing before you pay — here is exactly what the public record showed on 23 August 2026, and nothing more.

Age UK is a long-established registered charity — with a public record any buyer can check in a minute. No caution needed here.

My Estate Kit is operated by Help Senior Ltd — its own site footer names the operating entity, so this isn't inferred. The Family Handover Kit matches its own description and the 30-day refund is stated plainly. We make no comment on any company's structure, history or reviews, here or anywhere on this site.

WillSafe UK's own Terms of Use name its operator as "WSC Group Ltd," with a company number attached. Checked directly at Companies House on 23 August 2026, that number is registered under a different name — COMPAREENGINEERING.COM LTD.

The company is real: incorporated 25 March 2026, with a named, identity-verified UK-resident director, and it moved its registered office two weeks after incorporation.

We can't tell from the public record whether "WSC Group Ltd" is an unregistered trading name, a rename not yet filed, or a citation error — only that the two names don't match.
